Madelaine is a designer passionate about creating meaningful products that enhance everyday life with a focus on fostering human connections and addressing societal needs. Her design philosophy centers on creating solutions that genuinely improve lives through functional products and services.

One of her notable projects, Carapace Colloquies, is a wall-mounted key holder designed to encourage mindful living in our fast-paced digital age. In a world where conversations are often reduced to quick messages, this piece serves as a tangible reminder to slow down and nurture real-life connections. Inspired by the resilience of turtle shells, its interlocking forms symbolize the strength of relationships built through patience and presence. The mosaic patterns reflect "the art of stillness," reinforcing the idea that quality time is a precious gift. This project was a finalist in the Hong Kong Smart Design Award 2025, a recognition that motivates her to keep designing with intention.

Recently, while working on Taijitu Ties, she discovered a deep interest in aging-related challenges and the well-being of the elderly. This has inspired her to focus more on designs that cater to their needs, ensuring that functionality and empathy go hand in hand.
